The reflexive pronoun is the equivalent to the –self in English.
When it works as a direct object of the verb, it comes right before the verb:

Elas não se falam mais.

When it Works as an indirect object of the verb, it comes right after the verb:

Ele deu-SE o direito de ficar quieto.
*In this case, it usually comes with the hyphen.
